We had the best food there during our stay in Sri Lanka. Definitely try the rice and curry, it’s simply outstanding. Also the entire family is super friendly, Chathu‘s father drove us to the start of the Adam‘s Peak Hike in the middle of the night and also to Hatton after the hike because the public busses were to crowded to get in. Also Chathu‘s wife is super friendly and made us feel at home, even after she came back from her work. The terrace is a super place to hang out and to get a little rest just before starting the climb of Adam‘s Peak.

We planned hiking Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) for a sunset from top Temple and this Motel was a great place to have some sleep before hike. Host helped us with some tips and we had delicious dinner (even if there was no electricity - it broke in that area for some hours that day). We woke up 2, was at entrance gate around 2:30-2:45 and we made it for beautiful sunset. Then came back for huuuge tasty breakfast at Motel. Biggest breakfast in Sri Lanka. The hosts looked after us very well; so much so that the place felt like home away from home. The facilities were very good and clean. The start of the trek for Adam Peak is about 2km from the hotel, but we got a lift from the host at midnight and it only cost us 500 rupees. So location was not an issue and was relatively quiet compared to the town. After climbing Adam peak the host took us on a private tour of surrounding waterfalls. It was one of the nicest treks we did in Sri Lanka. Finally, the food was so delicious. The best rice and vegetarian curry in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend this place :)
