I was alone in a full room, and felt like my own bedroom. Bathroom and toilet where decent, but nothing fancy. As it is shared with only 3 people they do not get crowdy at all.

This place is very ideal when visiting places like Kyoto, Osaka etc. as it is central to both. We stayed a total of 7 days and the staff was very warm and welcoming. The transportation was close by as well and the walk was short to the station.

There's a lot to like about this place. Ideal if you're looking for a chilled out place in-between city hops, it worked for me. If you're backpacking, cycling, however you're travelling really, the place has something to offer. There isn't much within quick walking distance if you like to dine out, but the city is easily eccesible by local bus, car, bicycle etcetera, but saying that I walked it one way in an hour. Trains run in and out of the city from Osaka and Kyoto and the local bus is about five minutes from the house. Taking food with you is a good option, there are facilities at the house. The older gentleman who hosts the accommodation with his cute pomeranian is a kind considerate person, he went the extra mile to make my stay pleasant, he took me to the convenience store and to the station when it was pouring with rain.

I absolutely loved the place! It exceeded my expectations. Everyone was very friendly and not only concerned with explaining things, but also genuinely interested in how we were doing and what we thought of both the accommodation and Kyoto itself. The place is amazing. I'm sure we wouldn't find anything similar at such a great price. We were able to experience a traditional Japanese house, but with all the modern comforts. The location is also excellent. The place is close to a huge and beautiful temple, and the best part is that it's not well-known. We spent an entire day there without the hustle and bustle of the famous temples. The area is so vast that it even has a train to take you from one point to another. P.S.: For fans of the game Fatal Frame, I highly recommend this place. It really feels like you’ve been teleported into the game!
