Exceptional place in a peaceful location off the beaten path. Cozy rooms with modern amenities, including a fantastic bed and shower. The host was kind and attentive, and even went out of her way to get us some ice from her neighbor. The breakfast was our favorite of the whole trip, especially the homemade waffles! We can't wait to return next time we visit Iceland.

- If you're looking to stay and share moments with a true icelandic family, don't hesitate to book here! We had some great discussions at the breakfast (which was pretty basic but enough). - The house is located on a farm full of sheep which was nice to look at, at all times - The bathroom was clean - The kitchen is very well equipped with everything u might need to heat meals or cook them - The shared space was good (although we were the only ones there that night, so we kind of enjoyed the whole house for ourserlves)

We stayed in a cozy cabin, fully equipped and super clean with wonderfull views. The place is really quiet to relax away from touristic places but also well located for visiting the nearby area. A little sad that we were only staying for one night. We definitely recommend staying here. Hope to come back in the future.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Hjarðarholt, Mirror Suite is a holiday home surrounded by views of the mountain.

Isabelle and Marat are exemplary hosts and couldn’t have been more charming. The suite itself was exceptional in design and comfort and a great deal of thought had gone into the detail - beautiful linens and robes, well equipped kitchen and my favourite Skandinavisk toiletries. After some quite energetic salmon fishing it was wonderful to wind down at this wonderful suite, easing tired limbs in the sauna (with exceptional views) and falling into the most comfortable bed to dream about the lax! Amazing location, and really tucked away from anyone else, really comfortable beds, lots of facilities, with washer and dryer I was able to clean all my clothes on our last day in Iceland so got back home with clean clothes. Also was able to rise my car with the hose in the facility room. Cooked a full dinner on the hob and oven and both clean and worked well. The hot tub was nice and warm (bit too warm) but we didn’t follow the instructions on the wall to remove the lid as soon as you arrive to cool down, totally our fault but just a FYI for anyone else coming in.

A beautiful and very modern cabin in a serene setting with almost no one around. Exceptional attention to detail with nothing left to chance. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very spacious, super modern even by hotel standards, with a really comfy bed. Top to bottom glass walls with beautiful views over the bay with seals (telescope included!) - watching them was great! Supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away. Hosts were wonderful. If you are the area and looking for peace and quiet, look no further - very highly recommended!

Lovely small hotel by the main road, very friendly staff and delicious food! Rooms were clean, bathroom is nice, with bathrobes and slippers to use for hot tubs, which are located behind the hotel. 2 hot tubs which you can use whenever you like. Small stream on one side and farm animals on the other. Might have to wait a bit to have free spot in the evening. Breakfast was very good, eggs, bacon, freshly baked bread, freshly baked sweets (muffins, waffles...), fruit etc. Coffee with options to add some flavored syrups (never seen this before in a hotel), tea, juice... Restaurant at the hotel for lunch/dinner. Expensive dinner, but worth the money, best lamb we had in Iceland and we tried quite a few. Homegrown animals (fresh meat), view from restaurant on the pond with ducks. We stayed for 2 nights and then drove straight to the airport (1h 40min drive). Did not go sightseeing in vicinity so cannot comment on that. There is volcanic crater to visit 5min away and some hot springs. Definitely recommend staying here!
