We absolutely loved our stay. The farm is beautiful. The mornings were just so peaceful, it was bliss. I'd definitely come back and book both rooms for a couple of days to bring my mum along with us. Remember to take towels - I forgot our bag of towels so showering at 6am outside was an ... experience.

This is our second visit to The Bridge House, so we obviously like it a lot. The accommodations are beautiful, the food excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is nestled at the base of the woods, so the views and walks are amazing!! Grab a drink, sit outside near the babbling brook and picturesque bridge, as you see Alton Castle above.

Everything was exceptional. Anita, the host, went above and beyond to make us feel at home, from letting us stay in the room with the bigger shower on account of my height, to baking extra scones for us to eat after our day out (with double clotted cream and jam, delicious!). The room and bathroom were gorgeous, spacious and also very clean. The breakfast selection was amazing, from a continental spread to freshly made dishes like salmon and poached eggs. The surroundings were beautiful and Anita let us know about where was nice to walk to and have dinner at. We stayed here two nights and it was the best 2 nights on our tour by far.

Veri nice small challet renovated with great taste offering perfect place for relax in the midlle of Peak District nature. Maybe two cars passed the road during the day, just two farms few hundreds meter nearby, but you are there alone with beautiful view of peaks. Fully equipped, comfort bathroom, living room with equiped kitchen, outdoor seating and own parking. Just to come, stay, read and relax. 20 minutes by car to Buxton or Leek in case you need to see people and shops.

A very charming place in a lovely village. Very friendly and welcoming staff with a personal approach. All the necessary comforts. There's something very satisfying about staying in an inn... perhaps it's the history the building makes you think of, or the warmth of its busyness, or the pint you can pop down for...     Not really a hotel, rather a pub with rooms. Nice location after visiting either the Peak or Alton Towers. Regulars were very friendly, making it a pleasant atmosphere. Ample parking and outdoor seating. Had dinner there and it was OK, just don't expect anything gourmet.

    The cafe nearby was great, convenience store and pub were also not far. Proximity to the beautiful countryside. Free parking. Hearing the chickens, guinea fowls and lambs and quietness. Quite easy to get to, not too far away for exploring the wider peak area. Bus stop on the road outside would be handy if I didn't have a car.
