We arrived on a rainy day at the beginning of August. Although it was very busy at the bar and in the restaurant we were welcomed very warmly and could check in quickly. Our room was comfortable and the bed very cosy. We had a fantastic dinner in the restaurant. Try the haggis-filo-wraps with Irn Bru chilli jam, they are fabolous. The beefburger was very juicy and the venison steak really tasty and tender. Enjoy the cranachan. The breakfast was also very delicious and was a perfect for the day.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, the check in was quick and smooth, the room was clean and had everything we needed, it was nice to have breakfast brought to our room in the morning and also we could choose what we wanted to have. Fresh ingredients and fresh fruit from their garden. Overall amazing stay, definitely recommend Cartmel to anyone.

    The hotel was right on the Loch with lovely views out from our rooms. It is a very pretty, walkable town. The hotel was comfortable and clean and breakfast was great. Good car parking.

    Beautiful location on the loch side with small outdoor terrace, and across from the oldest brewery on Skye. Rooms in a separate building from the pub - very comfortable room with all facilities needed. Quiet. Pub restaurant was good - fast service , good menu and bonus of live music session of traditional Scottish music. Couldn' be better. parking also right opposite in small car park.

    Good location for the NC500. Our room was in a separate annexe with good car parking. Food in the evening was good and there was a well stocked bar. Breakfast was very good. staff very friendly.
