Wonderful welcoming staff, free parking, our room with ensuite was in a cottage across the road and stairs up from a private entrance so no big reception and lifts like normal hotel so it felt more like a holiday let which suited us perfectly. Lovely bar and bringing out chips and bread and butter half time watching the football was a very unnecessary but very thoughtful gesture. The rooms are "motel" style with adjacent car parking. Although converted from former outbuildings the rooms were modern inside and very comfortable. The bedroom was well equipped and both this and the shower room, were very clean. The breakfast was really tasty and a good selection of favourite pub dishes are served in the evening.
