Our stay at the Rainors Farm was extremly relaxing. The view was stunning, there was no noise, just farm animals and birds. Claire was very forthcoming and could read our minds. She made our stay just perfect! The homemade breakfast was excellent!

The hosts were lovely and accommodating. The room we stayed in was spacious but still cosy and it was incredibly clean. The breakfast was delicious. Bacon cooked perfectly! The location was amazing. Only a 15 minute drive from skafell pike and a stones throw from the beach, which is gorgeous. 10/10 would definitely come stay again.

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress. The rooms are very comfy, the staff are very welcoming and the food is excellent. I had the seafood pasta for dinner one evening and it surpassed meals I have had in the best restaurants in Sydney and elsewhere in the UK. Light, fresh and with a generous portion of seafood - delicious. It is lovely to sit in the garden (weather permitting) and enjoy the glorious views of the beautiful scenery all around. I will definitely visit again, and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Me and my Fiancé had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Lakenhow for a long weekend. Room was cosy and very spacious with amazing views of the sea, especially during sunset! Location is great if you’re not looking for a tourist heavy spot. It’s also a short drive away from Wasdale for anyone who’s planning to hike up Scafell Pike! Overall we loved the room and would definitely come back in the future.

location was great, lovely quiet village with a few pubs and a shop - short drive to scarfell pike or a beach. The cottage was so clean and comfortable too. Had everything we needed. Loved the little garden too, breakfast in the sun was a treat. Had a great couple of nights sleep on a very nice hotel quality bed and bedding - very quiet and dark. Lots of parking on the street outside.

    The Accommodation was excellent and very clean . The host was very friendly and gave us alot of help and advice. The breakfast on both mornings was excellent and plenty of choice. Our room was clean and had plenty of tea and coffee etc . Bed comfortable and bathroom spotless. Nice small car park at the side of the property. Good price and will definitely use again if in area.

    Lovely view out the main lounge window, spacious inside, clean and comfortable beds, parking next to the door in our caravan, cooking utensils provided, heating was really fast and plenty of places to dry off damp equipment if you're out and about during the day. Also a great location for getting to a number of hikes.
