The owners, Sara and Hugh were so welcoming you felt like you were staying with friends or family. It felt as if nothing was too much trouble. The property is a small holding with many animals which they are more than happy to show you, talk to you about and we even got to feed some new born lambs. My wifes holiday was complete! The bedroom and bathroom was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was continental style with plenty of choice.

We had an enjoyable two-night stay here - our accommodation was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner, and we especially enjoyed dining on the beautiful and wide dining table, which could have easily accommodated a larger group. We also appreciated the location of the accommodation - it was away from the city centre, which provided peace and tranquility, but was not too far off and thus still convenient for those looking to visit Canterbury (our host Deborah kindly suggested a short drive to a free parking area that was a 10 min walk to the city centre). On our first night there was a power outage in the area but our hosts were very kind even though it was no fault of theirs, and because the area was so dark we got to see the night sky blanketed with stars, which was a beautiful sight to behold.

Beautifully renovated luxury pub tucked away in a small, fairytale village. The rooms are refined, everything shows attention to detail. The bar and restaurant are cosy and quaint. The pub is the centre for the villagers who meet here every afternoon. There is a garden and a conservatory. The food is of excellent quality. One of the best steaks I've ever had in the UK. But as you can imagine, it all comes with a price.
