Our 3 night stay at Sandhills Farm was perfect! Helen is such a lovely host and is very friendly and welcoming. The views of the mountains and lakes from Sandhills Farm and the surrounding area are absolutely beautiful! Plenty of wildlife to be seen if you love animals like us, we even saw a deer! We stayed in the Limousin room which was fantastic. The facilities were great, it was very clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The homemade biscuits in the room were very yummy! We had a view from our window of the mountain and the sheep and lambs which was wonderful. Helens breakfast was very yummy! Plenty of choice for cooked and continental and the homemade jam was delicious. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning! 😁

Absolutely stunning lodge! The decor, the space and the facilities are to a very high standard! Cozy, inviting, spacious and modern. Views from the lodge are amazing! The lodge is situated currently with 3 other lodges, very far apart, so we loved the privacy and had no concerns with our young children playing outside. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best, extremely high winds and rain but it meant we made the most of the lodge. The lodge was equipped with everything needed for our short break. Added equipment like the iron, iron board, hoover, brush and shovel, hand wash and lotion is a great touch! Will definitely book again for a longer stay. Thank you for our stay.

Stunning lodge, beautiful location, not too far from towns and walks ideal for families. Very clean and the lodge is decorated beautifully. Rooms are spacious and have lots of storage. Wifi worked perfectly we had no issues with the internet signal during our stay. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This old inn is a gem in every way. From the welcome, to the comfort and size of the room to the excellent food, particularly for vegetarians, this inn is a standout. It's also the perfect location for touring and despite the weather we had a most enjoyable visit. The staff are most attentive and add to the charm of the inn.

The hotel is in a lovely quiet spot with easy parking. Very good staff and the room was spotless and the shower/ hot water system was faultless which is rare is buildings this age!

Very quaint hotel, lovely grounds but a bit too wet to explore this time around. It was a busy hotel with lots of comings and goings, staff were really friendly and food was also good. Good choice for breakfast also. Really enjoyed our stay. Plenty parking also.

Beautiful traditional inn, with very friendly , smiley staff. We chose a cosy room, which was small but beautifully presented, and had everything we required. No complaints. The inn has two bars with the second being a lovely old quirky traditional snug. The breakfast was hearty with a good choice and piping hot. There is a big car park to the rear and the gardens are immaculate with many places to sit. To wake up to the sound of wood land bird song was a joy. Happy to recommend .
