An absolute gem of a place. The house is beautiful, the garden a gorgeous oasis and the breakfast was as good as any 5 star hotel. We had the most amazing cheeseboard sitting in the garden one evening after a lovely hour spent in the hot tub. If you want to feel pampered and looked after by wonderful hosts, Blackwell House will not disappoint.

As a cow farmer, staying with John also means supporting a local agricultural enterprise, which adds a meaningful dimension to your visit. It's a home from home have stayed a few times and love going back for peace and quiet. Our room was excellent everything we required also spotlessly clean. Jim is an exceptional host and couldn't be more helpful. Ample parking, and full use of the kitchen and living room.

Friendly helpful staff. Nice room and all clean and in order. Breakfast was great. Nice bar in the basement with beers on tap. Room was nice and warm and windows opened (if, like me, you like to sleep with the window open). Close to town. Plenty of parking.

Often chosen for wedding a venue, its a beautiful property reached via a sweeping drive. The room was bright and spacious and immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is a lively bar and formal restaurant. Lots of very secure, well paved car parking.
