Hotels with Parking in Tiainen

Yes it’s in the middle of nowhere, but we knew that when we booked (you can see location on the map) and it was exactly what we wanted. Room was comfortable and warm, shower/sauna/toilets were all good, staff were great. breakfast was a good sized portion and tasted good. You have to get the bus/drive a while if you want to be in city or do tours etc. but there is Forrest right outside and a lake within 1km of the property and we spent our time exploring without another person in sight. We went out at night and saw the northern lights 2 out of 2 nights we were there, it’s very easy to find great spots without other people or light pollution in just a couple of minutes walk. Mini fridge and microwave available to use as well. overall great place to stay.

I have no real words to describe this experience in Lapland, only enriched by the accommodation we chose. Riitta is a very kind and excellent host, that always looks after the guest needs. The location is great, lost in the wilderness of the forest, adds a great charm to the already spectacular sight. Truly an experience to have once in a lifetime, thanks you Riitta to deliver it to us.

Incredible experience, the cabin was just perfect for our family of 5! the husky route and the trekking are a must! The kids enjoyed the frozen lake and snow with sleigh, cross skiing, ice skating… and the restaurant was also great! We could even saw northern lights from the lake!!

Stunning cottage where we saw our first ever Northern Lights. Peaceful, clean, authentic, what a dream. We will miss you dearly Villa Haapala. Host was also a fantastic communicator. Thank you for providing us with the best Xmas of our lives!
