You can also walk next door and get some gelato! Owners Yael and Roee are the ultimate hosts and will ensure your stay is as perfect as possible. You really are part of the family when you’re here. And a Soul Shine review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning their delicious brunch! This place serves up some of the best food you’ll find in the area – even in all of Costa Rica. Authentic menu items such as shakshuka, Gypsy King, falafels and avocado toast are all served hot and fresh with crispy salad and yummy tapas on the side. The fresh bread is served warm and melts in your mouth! The location of the hotel was great, a little far from San Jose airport, so I would reccomend to land at Liberia airport, which is only a 90 minute drive. However, it was in a private area and very safe, with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Everything else was amazing and succeed and of my expectations.

Lieke and Michael have a beautiful little lodge, with plenty of flora and fauna (we spent alot of time bird watching from our covered porch). The pool is even nicer than pictures and the temperature was perfect for cooling off. Food was excellent, and their included breakfasts were the best we had in CR (fruit and yogurt, great coffee, juice, tipico or pancake desayuno). We had our little girl there and she had a blast. With all the trees it felt very private, would go back in a heartbeat. The area is very quiet, which we loved, and tons of beaches.

We loved that the beach was right in front of the property. Alejandro, the host, was super kind. Communication was quick and he helped us with everything that we needed. He made our stay (2 adults, one 5 year old and a baby) very comfortable. Parking is right on the property. If you are interested in fishing, the beach is amazing to catch some nice fish: there are roosters, jacks, trigger fish, blue runners, mangrove snapper and more... Locals there know how it's done and fish there daily. They are kind and can help you out. If there are plenty of sardines in the water, safe your time with artificial lures. Get some sardines and fish on the bottom. You won't wait long for a bite ;)

The place looked very nice. The owner put a lot of time into this bus, and it worked out super well! The fact that you sleep in a bus is super funny. The terrace he built in front of the bus is super handy for breakfast or dinner, which you can prepare in the kitchen. There's a roof above the bus, so the bus is standing in the shade and this really helps with the warmth, you can choose to open the windows or use the airco if it gets to hot. Playa negra is the closest beach, you could also go to Playa avellanas, which is only a 10min drive.
