The view from our room was stunning. We saw monkeys, Macaws and crocodiles (from a safe distance!). A truly wonderful experience.

Everything was simply spectacular: the whole staff is always keen to help and make you feel at home, starting from Lana, the incredible owner of the lodge; the food is local, fresh and delicious; there is a whole range of activities that Lana organize - we even had the opportunity to participate to a Cacao ceremony that was quite an experience. You could literally spend from few days to few months in that lodge as you will always feel at home. The view of the yoga place is spectacular. Just keep in mind that the road to get there requires 4W car and a really expert driver, so if you don’t feel confident, is a good option to accept the lift from the lodge.

We stayed for over a week and saw an incredible amount of wildlife. Every day we saw something different and amazing whether it was monkeys, a sloth, invertebrates, birds (including toucans, swallow tailed kites, hummingbirds, trogons, woodpeckers, parrots, puffbirds, cuckoos), snakes, frogs. Ron, Val and the team do a really great job of maintaining the hostel and the trails. For such a remote location right in the middle of the rainforest the hostel is extremely well equipped including the kitchen, it looks picturesque, and is comfortable. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be truly immersed in nature and see a lot of wildlife.

Danta Corcovado Lodge offers its guests a library, Wi-Fi access in public areas free of charge and extensive gardens. Tea and coffee services are available from 06:00 to 22:00 hours.

We liked absolutely everything at the Danta Corcovado lodge, it was actually our best accommodation so far in Costa Rica. The service is great, the food is amazing at both breakfast and dinner, the room is something special , the territory of the lodge is quite large, has many trails around the lodge, the location is close to the beach. Breakfast had 5 or 6 different choices to choose from. The design is very modern, a lot of creativity. Large room. No need for AC, the room doesn't have windows but has mosqueto nets. There is a possibility to take tours from that place but we didn't so can't comment. We stayed here on the way back from the Corcovado overnight Serena tour. If I could rate it higher than 10 I would gladly do it! Next time we will plan to stay in this place for longer.

I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests at El Cerrito and I had the most amazing time there. Lis and Dan were so welcoming and the cabin was really comfortable and peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. I saw all kinds of wildlife there - monkeys, tucans, macaws, iguanas, frogs, humming birds, butterflies and sloths. It really felt like being in the jungle but with all the comforts of home. I was originally planning on doing a tour in Corcovado but I ended up doing a tour here with local guides instead and I'm so happy that I did. I got to see so many animals at a fraction of the price of what I would have paid at Corcovado. I will definitely be coming back here again in the future!

We had a wonderful time at Maze Lodge in the middle of the jungle! Sure the road is a little bumpy but nothing a 4x4 car (we had a Suzuki Jimny) can't handle...a little adventure ride for free :) We want to thank our hosts Frida and Alexander so much for hospitality and their support! Such an amazing place, clean, tidy and well kept, surrounded by intense spectacular jungle and wildlife. The most beautiful river a few hundred feet away from the property is perfect for cooling off in and enjoying a revitalising start to the day. There are so many places to see in the surrounding area, with a choice of walks that can test and experienced hiker or let you take in the breathtaking surroundings at a mellow pace. The rooms are super clean and allow you to feel surrounded by the jungle yet give you large, uncluttered and clean personal space. I was made to feel so welcome by the staff and volunteers. The two owners were so interesting, genuine and kind, they really care about your experience, Both of them were so helpful and arranged trips and excursions from Dos Bravos (the town) as well as imparting their experiences of places in the country. Honestly I'm still blown away by my time at Templo Del Tigre, the rich jungle, sunny weather with the occasional tropical down pour, the wildlife, jungle sounds, gold miners and such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay and experience one of the most bio diverse places on the planet. Could not recommend this place more highly.
