The owners are super nice, the view is incredible, food is great, beds are comfy, room is very clean, there were toys for our kids and we loved the private balcony with the view! It was really perfect. The only thing I can mention is that you check the restaurant prices beforehand, the dinner was very delicious but it basically costed as much as our room for one night with breakfast included.

i would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, modern rooms, a marina by the river gives you the opportunity to relax and swim on warm days. it is an ideal place to visit the canton of Neuchâtel and the surrounding towns. We loved staying at the quaint little ‘Ofenhaus’! It was everything we expected, based on the Booking.com description, and maybe even a bit better. :) The cleanliness was exemplary! I really am quite exacting concerning hygiene — and this place was literally spotless! The whole place smelt of fresh laundry when we walked in — it really doesn’t get any better than that! The water temperature and pressure in the shower are great! Since both my husband & I have long, luxurious hair, this is a crucial point for us. Many holidays have been ruined, alas, because of bad (cold, weak) showers — but not at the ‘Ofenhaus’! Everything works to perfection! The location is really quiet & calm, but the beautiful medieval town of Murten can be reached on foot (via a short walk of 1km). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely book the ‘Ofenhaus’ again if we happened to stay in the area in the future!

    Everything about the Hotel was excellent. The location was stunning, great parking, well equipped and comfortable room with stunning views. Both the evening meal and breakfast taken outside on a terrace overlooking the lake and alps in the background, were excellent . The staff were excellent too with attentive hosts and Olga the breakfast waitress is an asset, welcomong, friendly, attentive and excellent at her job.

    About our party, single dad travelling with one kid under 12. The room was very clean and fresh, equipped with fridge, dishes and cutlery so you can have your breakfast outside. Fresh towels and clean dishes/cutlery offered every day. Free parking for our car available in front of the yard. The host was extremely accommodating and flexible to our needs. We had a fantastic time visiting around places like Bern, Freiburg, Lausanne.
