I had a good stay at the Mayan Garden. It was the perfect place to go to Lamanai which was an awesome day trip with Lamanai River tours. The guide was amazing and gave us a really informative and fun day. Lamanai is well worth the visit, accessed by boat and tucked away in the jungle. Mayan gardens breakfasts were great. The showers are hot although the temp fluctuates, they are a nice, decent hot shower.

This THE place! Lovely people that run this Retreat. We have such a good time Here. In this Paradise there is a great bar. Meeting and enjoying local people. Each afternoon the Krokodile Comes a bit Out of the River to say hello. Jungle Sounds all around. The lamanai Tour they Organize was absolutely perfect! If you Go by boat you will enjoy the jungle, If you Go by Car you will See menuit villages. Thanks to the tourguide and the delicious food His wife Made! Belize ist great, this place is great. The location is 3 blocks only away from the bus station. Also, as the only hostel in northern Belize, it is a good place to stay when you want to visit Lamanai or Altun Ha. Place is clean and has hot water. Staff is really welcoming and helpful.
