Magical place. The owner welcomes you in fluent English, French, German or Italian, and is a lovely host who was great company and provided very helpful recommendations. Absolute highlight was the breakfast and dinner, all made from fresh local products, which were some of the best meals we have had in Albania. Very friendly staff as well.

We loved our stay at Geshtenja. The kindness and attentiveness of Zamira and her husband made our stay unique and simply amazing. The food was delicious and Zamira made vegetarian dishes for us as we don’t eat meat. The room is very spacious, with heating and aircon (we used the aircon as we travelled in summer), very comfy beds and a nice view. The location is nice if you’re looking to get away from crowded areas and looking for quiet and surrounded by nature. We’d love to be back! P.S.: Just a recommendation, if you follow google maps, will make you take a dirt pebble road and will take longer to get there. So from the main road (Rruga per Thethe), just take Rruga Reçit (a paved road, and definitely a shortcut) that will lead you directly to another paved road (where the restaurant/hotel is)

Renato is such a kind host. He gave excellent information, provided an absolutely excellent breakfast, and truly loves Albania. It helps that he used to work in the tourist industry, so his English is perfect and he genuinely loves Albania and knows a lot about what to do. Great place, great location, and has parking. 10/10

This was our first time visiting Albania, and we didn’t know what to expect, but this accommodation left us with the best impressions. We were greeted by very friendly and warm staff. Throughout our stay, we felt just like at home. The staff were very caring and kind. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. The room was cleaned every day. The price for such service is far too low. The hostel is walking distance to the bus stop and tourist attractions. It has a very wide backyard with trees and plants where you can hang out. The room is fresh and the beds are comfortable. The toilets are clean and well maintained.
