This is our first time in Japan and we landed straight for 4 nights in this great hotel. You get the full japanese experience when you land including traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners, the dinners are amazing so take the half board. The rooms are big, beautiful and facilitated and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It is located about 15 minutes by train outside of Kyoto but if you like to leave the crowds behind at night it's worth the commute.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. I liked how friendly the staff was and how many things there were to do at the facility! We did onsen (in our room and the public onsen), walked around the grounds, did karaoke, and enjoyed the multi course dinner!

Situado en Nagahama, a 26 km de Hikone Castle, Ryokan Beniayu cuenta con hospedaje con bicis gratuitas, estacionamiento privado de cortesía, un salón compartido y una terraza. El servicio era muy bueno, estaba de cumpleaños y me regalaron un set de sales de baño. Me conmovió mucho ese detalle. El onsen compartido tenia una linda vista y un sauna exquisito, así como buenos productos. La habitación era grande e incluía un sillón de masajes (además del onsen privado) Considero que es un buen hotel y tuvimos una buena experiencia, sin embargo por el rango de precios alojamos en hoteles con más comodidades y que ofrecían buffet de cena incluido.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We had some delay in reaching the accommodations, but they allowed us to have our dinner right as we entered, before checking in. They also helped us to call a taxi to the train station on our last day. My mother left an item behind, and they kindly mailed it over to my address in Tokyo after we left! Compliments to the chef, the food every breakfast and dinner were so delicious, and my family and I got to try many local delicacies in the comfort of the hotel :) My parents also enjoyed their very first experience of onsen here!

Offering an outdoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and 6 restaurants and bars, Biwako Hotel is located a 5-minute walk from Keihan Hamaotsu Train Station. Absolutely satisfied with the hotel in terms of the location, the cleanliness, the comfort, the room view, the interior design, as well as their dinner and breakfast. Our rooms had a great view of Lake Biwa and we took a wonderful stroll along the lakeside in the morning. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. They had a wide variety of tasty food there while a number of other restaurants and cafes were within walking distance as well.
