The property is non-smoking and is situated 400 metres from Gion Shijo Station. One of the most friendly staff I have ever seen. Extremely caring, helpful and paying attention to every detail, remembering the needs of every guest. Always eager and ready to help, reacting immediately once any request is submitted. And also keeping the ideal balance between keeping an eye of care on you and respecting your privacy. Reception floor is also equiped with great coffee machine that prepares top-notch cacao, matcha latte and iced drinks. Always handy to have that option in your hotel. So far, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed so far!

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage space and currency exchange for guests. This was by far the most exceptional service and facilities I have experienced in a hotel. The staff was so accommodating, friendly, helpful and kind. The value and quality of the experience was well worth the price. My family and I really enjoyed the onsen, free matcha, hot chocolate, ice cream and ramen. We had a great time using the free massage chairs as well. The breakfast buffet was such a complete and delicious way to start our travel days. It felt like a home away from home and I will book here again! The hotel even helped us ship our luggages to the next hotel right un the comfort of the lobby. The tatami mats were beautiful and soft as we walked through the hotel. The elevators arrived promptly and ran smoothly. Overall, I would 100% recommend this hotel. The location is in a premier spot near Kyoto station and the temple just a walking distance away. There are 2 indoor hot springs baths and an open-air bath at the property. I really loved the Japanese style room and three onsen!

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Small and well run family onsen ryokan with in house small outdoor and cave onsens which are private in the afternoon of check in and public by gender the next morning. The top floor room named "Maple" has wonderful view of the colourful vegetation on the mountain side and small water feature at the bottom. Owner operator is very attentive and service oriented. Highly recommended!!!

It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.
