Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. The breakfast was traditional Japanese, very healthy & plentiful. There were a few items I didn’t eat though my husband ate everything. Taz’s mother waitressed ( at the age of 87!) & was always smiling & helpful. 3 small onsens - enough for couples. My husband’s aches & pains disappeared after a dip. Easy walk to centre of town & lovely park. On a weekend both areas are lit up. The park is particularly beautiful.

The facility is well curated in every detail and it was great value for money. But what I loved the most was our host: she went above and beyond to help us with all our questions and was extremely supportive when on the checkout morning I was feeling unwell.

The guesthouse was newly renovated & everything like new. We booked 4pax stay & the rooms condition is excellent. The staff service is good. We love it very much the onsen facility on this guesthouse. Breakfast provided were excellent. Nevertheless, this guesthouse is highly recommend during your visit to Kusatsu Onsen.

Room is big, clean and quiet, typical Japanese style. Breakfast was awesome, and the onsen was exceptional. Just locate at the entrance of the Sainokawara Park, and just a few minutes walk from the Yubatake and the Otaki no yu Onsen. Mrs Miki is soooo nice! Set in Nakanojo in the Gunma region, Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and luggage storage space. The ryokan features family rooms. We have booked a room with our own private onsen as part of it and it was exceptional. If it weren‘t for the bugs (which the hotel can‘t do much about), it would be absolutely perfect. The rooms were super spacious and the beds very comfortable. Having Kaiseki in our very own room really adds to the whole experience of a traditional, Japanese inn. I also recommend trying the public baths even if you have one in your room, it is really good too!

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. This is the nicest developed hot spring I have been to anywhere in the world.

Oyado Tamaki offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a traditional garden with benches where guests can sit and relax in. Guests can refresh in the massages chairs at the relaxation rooms and enjoy a ganbanyoku hot-stone spa. Free WiFi is available at the entire property and JR Shibukawa Train Station is a 15-minute drive away. Everything. Good dinner and breakfast. Onsen was great.
