The rooms are spacious were were a family of 3 adults sharing a room and we all had plenty of room. Trditional futon sleeping, futons were a little thin for our comfort but the doona cover was lovely and warm. The hosts are very friendly people, nothing was too much trouble. There is a public onsen and a private onsen. We booked the private bath and it was wonderful. We had a Japanese breakfast one morning and it was delicious! The place is super cosy and the view from the room is spectacular. Loved getting in our complimentary robes and using the Onsen. Both the public and private onsens are tattoo friendly and it was nice to be able to Onsen with my partner in the super affordable private Onsen session. There is not a shared bathroom in the western sense, but a simple but authentic private onsen in house. The breakfast every morning was varied & delicious!! The staff were very helpful & lovely. The rooms were clean . Plus it was only 300 metres from the ski lifts.
