The boss and his staff are very thoughful. For instance, they arranged vegetarian meal and that was truly delicious. The house itself is very well decorated and has a very special ambience, out of time. I would definitely recommand the place to anyone looking for a traditional ryokan experience in Kinosaki. Perfect stay, thanks to the staff !

We had such an amazing stay with Kobayashiya. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and we highly appreciated the breakfast and dinner that catered to our diets and allergies (one vegan, one gluten). The food was incredible! Shout out to Pam who dressed us in Yukata to stroll around and Reina who made sure our dinner was always perfect.

The dinner orepared by on site chef is a flavor adventure not to be missed! Everyone from chef to staff are talented and communicate well in English. They provided complimentary yukata and sandles to explore all of the local onsen. Also complimentary were passes to the onsen and a discounted pass to the ropeway leading up the mountain with a Michelin star view. The traditional wood architecture of the rooms were warm and comfortable. I would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.

All the employees we came in contact with, were extremely helpful, and kind despite the language barrier. The hotel offers a luxurious stay, with the staff being humble and approachable. Wonderfull Old style building. Very japanese style decorated rooms. Everyone is trying to make your stay best possible. Food is amazing, private baths as well. Location in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen. Personel is speaking more English (or at least have preapred more cards in English) than in most places in Kyoto which is helpfull. If someone wants chilling time with excellent quality food and place to sleep we really do reccomend.
