beautiful traditional Japanese Hotel, with everything you would have expected from Japanese culture, interior rice paper walls, low table and chairs, comfortable mattress on floor, separate sex public baths. lovely setting with great views of Miyo Jima Island. The location is very convenient— just across the port. The amenities are great. The onsen is amazing. The staff are very nice and thoughtful. While it’s just a 10 minutes walk there’s a bus well marked right by the station that takes you there. Great view over the bay. Half-board was very well served. Good bed, spacious room. Good toiletries. Staff supportive. Bus driver very friendly. :-) Spend enough time on island and do a hike there up to Mt. Misen.

The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.
