Bella Vista Motel Fox Glacier is easy to find, situated right in the heart of the Fox Glacier Village. Only a few minutes’ walk from shops, cafés and restaurants.

The motel is on the main road, but quiet, and close to everything. The apartment was super clean and the bathroom was spacious. The whole area is beautiful, rainforest, and there are glowworms in the forest just behind the accomodation. The owner lady was very kind, she recommended us some nearby sights accessible by foot, as we had no car. There was a supermarket in town and you could get to Franz Joseph, Fox Glacier and lake Matheson. One of our favourite spots during our travels in New Zealand.

In a month of continuous travel around both the islands of New Zealand we stayed in a number of perfectly good places. The Sunset Motel stands head and shoulders above them all. Beside being clean, comfortable, equipped with all it promised, the layout of the garden was cozy, with fantastic views from all the rooms and sitting there in the evening was most enjoyable. The receptionist was kind, helpful and the breakfast was simple but filling.

The Westhaven Motel is located in the heart of the South Island's West Coast Glacier Country, within the South West World Heritage area.
