Set just about a 5-minute drive from Reed Flute Cave, 2 km from the centre of Guilin City, The Beyond Villa Guilin Boutique Hotel sits close to Taohua River and is surrounded by greenery and silence neighbourhood. The property also provides a shared kitchen, tea class, cooking class, calligraphy class and Zen experience. Everything! Especially the hospitality and kindness of Maria and her staff. It was like staying by a friend. We came late in the afternoon without having any bought tickets for the sightseeings (rice fields, Li cruise river) and she has arranged all for us. We would pay double via trip.com or klook. Also the next day when we have returned exhausted from the day trip, she prepared us tea, cookies and fruits. Amazing. The breakfast was delicious. The room, especially the bed very comfortable. I slept like a baby. I am very thankful to her and her team that she made our stay so great.

You can see that the staff is very motivated and does their best to let you have a great time. They arranged great tours for us and gave us valuable information about what we should do. The rooms were fantastic, large and modern. Very clean as well, nothing to complain about. Breakfast was also awesome, great western options - also the restaurant was a rescue for us because in Yangshuo you can’t find any western food except McDonald’s. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone!

The staff - Melody and guy - were extremely helpful in every way, replying to us on the messaging app, arranging for pickup transport from Gulinxi railway station, ordering dinner for us on the first day, arranging the tour to Longji rice terrace, giving us a free drink, sending dinner recommendation to us after the night cruise at 2 rivers and 4 lakes, and packing breakfast for us on the 3rd day when we were rushing off to the cruise to Yangshuo. They showed hospitality unreservedly. Simple western or Chinese breakfast taste amazingly fresh every day - from the warm big egg, to noodles to the watermelon. We enjoyed breakfast against a breathtaking backdrop of Reed Flute Cliff. We still think that the first dinner at this resort with beer fish and pork ribs were the best we had on this trip.

Incredibly attentive and cooperative host, thank you Mr. Xiao. He gifted us watermelon and cookies before taking off to our next stop.
