We loved that you can do safari drives in both the Kruger national park, which is huge, and the Sabi Sands that is more intimate and you can get a little closer to the animals. The staff make this place amazing, all so kind and accommodating. We loved our guide Percy who really went above and beyond on our drives, and Matt who was really accommodating, plus all other staff (too many to mention). The food was great, all meals. The tents are nicer than expected with really comfortable, large beds, air con and a good shower/bathroom. The pool area is also really nice and they are building a second. Overall really great value and the perfect safari experience. We hope to return again!

The staff is absolutely amazing! Shayna, Emma and Angela were great hosts and guides, the staff was awesome and the Chef is GREAT! Safe and delicious place for vegans! The game drives were very nice and fun, the girls know their bush! We got to see the big five in only 2 days. The cabin was nice and cozy, even though it gets pretty hot during the day (at night it becomes bearable with the fan on). Good hot shower! The elephants in the pool are breathtaking and the highlight of this amazing place.

Lynn and Brian are exceptional hosts and their staff are amazing. Great food was also a bonus. Thanks for a great stay, it was the perfect close to our South African adventure 😊

El Africa on Foot se encuentra en la reserva natural privada de Klaserie. Todo. Los safaris fenomenal!! La comida muy buena. La decoración y los detalles impresionante. Muy amable todo el personal.

El Mbizi Bush Lodge es una pequeña casa de campo situada en la reserva de caza de Grietjie y ofrece una piscina al aire libre y un porche con vistas a los montes Drakensbergs del Norte. La verdad es que tanto el edificio principal y las instalaciones así como la cabaña donde nos alojamos son una maravilla. Está muy bien decorado y en la cabaña tienes todo lo necesario. Te dejan unas galletas deliciosas en un tarro que nos comimos en la terraza con un té que nos hicimos bien temprano para disfrutar de las vistas en un primer desayuno. No lo sabíamos, pero al llegar allí nos ofrecieron hacer un safari nocturno que valió mucho la pena. Habíamos pasado 4 días en el Kruger y no habíamos podido hacer ninguno porque estaban llenos. Tanto la cena como el desayuno eran abundantes y estaba todo muy rico, la cocinera sale a explicarte el menú. Las bebidas van aparte y tienen de todo, desde vino hasta combinados con alcohol. Tienes que levantarte tú para servirte y apuntarlo en una hoja. También nos gustó mucho que la reserva y el alojamiento son muy íntimos, estábamos únicamente otra pareja y nosotros y se agradece mucho en estos tiempos donde todo está masificado. Por la mañana, justo después del desayuno, vivimos un espectáculo increíble, empezaron a llegar muchísimos elefantes, llegamos a contar hasta 40 o más que se acercaron a beber a la piscina. Vivimos uno de los momentos más mágicos de todo nuestro viaje.

El Greenfire Game Lodge está rodeado de flora y fauna silvestre, dentro de la reserva de caza de Balule. Tiene una terraza con vistas, restaurante y piscina al aire libre. We had an excellent first South African safari experience at the Greenfire Game Lodge. The atmosphere was genuinely friendly and relaxed, The owners Nigel and Carol and their staff are making sure that you feel very welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are actually nicely decorated and comfortable cabins with a deck that is overlooking the riverbed and the bush on the other side. You can spend hours there just listening to the sound of the bush and watch elephants, giraffes and other animals pass by. The food was very nice and varied, the breakfast was great with fresh fruit, yogurt, scones and an assortment of egg based dishes to choose from. Lunch and dinner and wine assortment very nice as well. And finally the game drives.. such an amazing experience!! Our guide Given is such a wealth of knowledge, he transmitted his passion for his work, and patiently and willingly answered all our questions about the surrounding nature, the animals and about South African culture and politics, it was a pleasure to make his acquaintance (we were the only guests for 2 nights, arriving just after the end of the high season, so we had a lot of opportunity to chat during the drives, although the breathtaking surroundings left us speechless at times). Given is an excellent tracker and we had wonderful wildlife encounters. We appreciated his respect for the animals and the environment, we never had the feeling that we were “chasing” the animals and the Green Fire guides don’t drive off-road due to the risk of killing animals and harming the terrain, which was one of the reason we chose this lodge over others. Our stay at Green Fire lodge definitely made us want to go back and spend more time in the beautiful South African nature.

Situated in the Balule Nature Reserve, Muweti Bush Lodge offers the opportunity for wildlife encounters at its waterhole, where elephants and other game come to drink. The staff made us feel like family. Audrey, Neil, Harduus, everyone was extremely friendly and took excellent care. The food was delicious. Many elephants visited the waterhole during our stay. The game drives are thrilling and the guides very knowledgeable.

Naledi Lodges lies within the Balule Game Reserve and is located 25 km from Hoedspruit. It boasts panoramic views of the African savannah and features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Naledi is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The level of quality service was extremely high. They always anticipated my every need and made sure that I did everything that I had set to do there. The facilities were all very thought out, so that you can maximize your experience at the reserve. The room was superb! The animals get really close to the hotel! The game drives, especially the knowledge of the guides (Oupa and Excellent), their spirit, it was truly amazing. I definitely recommend.

Pondoro is set on the banks of the Olifants River inside the 50 000 ha Balule Private Game Reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park (Game drive traverse 30 000 acres). Friendliness of the staff is exceptional and their cuisine is fantastic. Morning and evening game drives are very well organized and ranger & tracker were very professional. Simply an amazing experience!
