We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were outstanding, informatve and very friendly. Although the dinner menu was very limited the quality was 5 star. Accommodation was absolutely immaculate and so comfortable. Will definitely be back even though it was a bit pricey.

Absolutely loved our time at this fantastic B&B in beautiful Wellington. It's located on a quiet hillside overlooking from where the Picton ferry sails from. Our room was extremely comfortable, cosy and well equipped with a lovely bathroom, which included a fabulous bath. Lou and Chris, the hosts, are a lovely couple who could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had a delicious healthy breakfast each day of our stay, and enjoyed chatting to Lou & Chris over a cup of tea. This is a brilliant place to stay if you're going to catch the ferry to the South Island as it's only a short drive from here. Wellington is a fabulous city and you'll be pushed to find a better place to stay than Harbour Lodge. Highly recommended !

Opposite the hospital was great for visiting a patient. Very comfortable bed. Although near a busy road it did feel peaceful when inside with door closed Helicopters landing on the helipad at the hospital were very loud for a short time - and quite fun to watch. The kitchen was very good with a sink, fridge, stove top etc. we provided most of our own meals. Very helpful staff - friendly and willing to help. I liked the stairs for exercise - initially I puffed but it got easier.

The culinary creations were restaurant-quality, crafted with passion, served with heartfelt care and enjoyed in a cozy dining atmosphere. Breakfast on our last day was fantastic, setting a wonderful tone for the day ahead. The accommodation is inviting, well maintained, perfect for unwinding and tastefully adorned with carefully curated pieces from the hosts’ travels and life stories - giving a unique and personal touch. Their furbabies brought a charming homely vibe, while the serene natural surroundings made every moment outside refreshing. All the details were spot on, and the hosts thoughtfully went above and beyond to make us feel special. We left rested, well looked after and absolutely eager to return.
