Super comfy beds, lovely attached bathrooms Getting there was not challenging as long as you don’t follow google maps. Contact Onjamba and they will email a map telling you where to exit the C35. Staff and food were beyond fabulous. Tents were pretty hot as there isn’t AC and it was toasty (high 30s/low 40s) when we were there. Fans are provided in the room though. The elephant drive was fun but we only found one lone bull. The little pool was amazing for hours on the hot afternoon after the drive.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Lodge is new and very well appointed. The family room was very spacious. Spa services were good. We also booked a tour to the Himba Village and it was really interesting. Breakfast (included in the rate) and dinner buffet very good. Lodge is close to town but yet gives you the sense of seclusion. Right on the tar road to Etosha (but, on the other hand, you have to drive for about an hour on gravel to reach desert elephants safari and Damara Living Museum). Super nice personnel!

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a buffet breakfast. At Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp you will find a restaurant serving African, Grill BBQ and South African cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options can also be requested. Magic place! Fantastic sundowner from the hill next to the camp. There are some chairs and a bar for a guste’s comfort. We hade a superior tent (bigger one). It was realy good and nice designed. The food was tasty. The personnel were polite and always smiling. Very good thing is a parking near the tent. We loved everything: surroudings, swimming pool, restaurant, camp fire area and etc.

Located in Damaraland, Huab Lodge & BushSPA is surrounded by lush vegetation. It features a swimming pool and a natural thermal spring. It has a bar and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Each bungalow at the Huab Lodge features a private veranda overlooking the area and hills. They all have a private bathroom with twin basins and views from the shower. All of them have thatched roofs and typical African decoration. Huab has a truly exceptional setting, being properly remote and untouched. Not only does one get to see desert elephants on a game drive with the lovely Deon, but one gets to meet desert elephants who are not used to seeing anyone else drive through but him, max once a day, so it really feels like a wild encounter! The staff is exceptionally pleasant and caring, the owners are truly fabulous people, and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. We came in November when the day temperatures were hitting 40 degrees and yet the rooms felt cool enough for our babies nap during the day, and opening the windows at night made for a very cool sleep, so the lack of aircon didn't end up being a problem. The pool is really special, and the thatch bar/restaurant area has a unique character and beautiful views. The food was surprisingly good and varied for a place this remote in the middle of the Namibian desert too! We felt incredibly welcome and looked after by the small team, which made for a very special and intimate experience, the perfect ending of our Namibia trip after the business of Etosha national parks!

Located 25 km from Khorixas, Gondwana Damara Mopane Lodge offers accommodation set in a semi-circle of interlinking pathways with a swimming pool at the centre.

Each room at Gondwana Damara Mopane Lodge has a private garden, air conditioning, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Cottages are separate in their own little yards. Large room. The yards grow vegetables which the lodge uses for the meals. Staff are very good. Delicious buffet with game meat and a variety of vegetables. Maria, the server, was very good. Breakfast buffet is also good with a nice variety including hot food.

Petrified Forest Khorixas is 30 km from the lodge. Lovely place to stay in Damaraland! The tents are clean and spacious with attached toilet and shower, hot water and electricity. The food was excellent, dinner was 250 each and more food than we could eat. Breakfast was great, and they gave us a packed lunch (I think lunch was 200) for our long drive. The staff was incredible, so attentive and helpful, some of the best we’ve had in months of traveling. The camp is away from all lights so it was some of the best star gazing ever. The ownership is brand new (and Namibian) as of September 2025 so take this into account when looking at older reviews online.
