Off the main road and set in a beautiful garden with spice trees. We had dinner there and had some of the best Sri Lankan vegetable curries so far on our trip. Owner organised transport from Ella and to Tangalle at a reasonable price as well as the jeep for the safari. The cottage was clean and had warm shower and AC.

It looked better than the pictures and the staff were amazing, They helping to make an arrangement for the trip. It is great location to explore the area. wifi worked very well.

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with river views. We went for the safari, we stayed in a very rural area surrounded by nature to make the experience even better. On arrival we were offered a cooking class in the evening which was excellent. Sujee and his wife are so lovely and he is so knowledgeable about the safari. The hotel itself is very well built and kept and high quality. We went on a all day safari from around 10am, lunch included, and saw so much on the day, I would highly recommend a longer safari if you can afford it as it’s really worth it.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. We were a family of five with adult children and had the whole villa for ourselves, and the experience was amazing! The villa is newly built and everything felt brand new but yet very familiar with Ishan heading a super attentive and nice staff. The views are breathtaking over the surrounding mountains, with a small river pond on the property to take a refreshing dip into (together with the small fish givning you a interesting fish spa experience). We just felt blessed staying in this tranquille environment, enjoying excellent food and just hanging out together. It was definitely more than worth the bumpy ride up to this place. Big thanks to Ishan with staff that made this an extraordinary experience.

A buffet, Full English/Irish or Asian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving American, Cajun Creole and Chinese cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. The host was this super friendly young guy. The place is very charming. He plugged in router next to our cottage for wifi. Easy communication all around. Cottages were very spacious. Breakfast served anytime we needed = after safari at 11am.

The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and an oven, and a private bathroom with bidet and free toiletries. A toaster and kettle are also provided. The staff were nice and they were really reactive whenever we needed something. Perfect stay ! Offering river views, Nature Glow Cottage in Udawalawe offers accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and water sports facilities. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. This room exceeded my expectations by far. Very spacious room with a thee/coffee corner, two beds, table and chairs. Ac and fan but super cool inside so not even necessary to turn on the AC. Finally a room with bedside lights and proper curtains. And the most lovely balcony with a view of the jungle and the river running down below which you can also hear and is very calming. The scenery round here is beautiful and an ideal location for visiting Udawalawe National Park, but also to just unwind and enjoy nature and Damiante’s delicious cooking. Probably the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far and the portions were huge. You will not go hungry. Also just a very loving and caring family that are always available to help you in any way the can. I highly recommend the place to any and everybody visiting Sri Lanka.
