Establecido a 8 minutos a pie de Jaisalmer Fort, Killa Bhawan Lodge ofrece una terraza, un restaurante y hospedaje climatizado con un patio y WiFi gratis. I booked this place for 2 nights but due to change on my plans I had to stay only for one night. The policy did not allow any modification, however Vicky (the owner) did everything possible to make my stay easier and comfortable. He accepted an early check-in, so I entered 5 hours before the normal check-in time. He also offered me free lunch and transport to get to the airport on the day of my departure. The place was just amazing! Comfortable room with a nice double bed and a spacious bathroom and good wifi. All very traditional according to the architectural style of the city. The location was unbeatable, just next to the main Haveli (traditional palace museum mansion) and very near to the other two most important Havelis (7 minutes max. walking distance) of Jaisalmer. More or less the same distance to get to the Jaisalmer Fort by foot and approximately 1km away from the Gadisar Lake which is another attraction in the city. Nonetheless, the big plus of the accommodation is its terrace! Having breakfast there or any meal is a must do thing and also get to the highest part of the terrace, offers fairly the best possible view to the Jaisalmer Fort. I recommend checking it both day and night! Overall I had a great stay there and I wish I could have stayed there for more!

Nimit and his wife were so welcoming and made us feel part of the family, even inviting us to join their Ravana Dahan party where Ravana the enemy of Lord Rama is burned in a ritual called Ravana Dahan to symbolize the victory of good over evil - such a fabulous experience! The chef cooked amazing food that we ate under the stars on the dining terrace. Such fabulous memories and can’t wait to return!
