At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. We loved our stay at Little Escape. The house is very clean, modern, and spacious - especially for just two people. The house is surrounded by a beautiful jungle garden and there is a small pool! Little Escape is located just outside the busyness of Santa Teresa - but still within a few minutes drive to all the restaurants and shops. From the property, you can also walk within a few minutes to the beach directly opposite the property, which is great. We loved having a car so that we could explore all the beaches and restaurants in the area. The hosts are super friendly, always respond quickly, and will make sure you have everything you need during your stay. Will 100% recommend!!

Tortuga is 2.4 km from the lodge, while Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary is 29 km away. The owners were very accommodating and friendly! Great price for value. Great breakfast.

Featuring a garden, a terrace, and a restaurant, Private jungle “Loft del Rio” river access features accommodation in Uvita with free WiFi and mountain views. Boasting free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, fishing and snorkelling. This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

The staff was friendly and welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were beyond words in terms of choices and level of culinary creativity and experience. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented on our patio in a jungle setting. Everything we experienced was at a heightened sense of creativity, and honoring Monteverde’s beauty with love.
