Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available.

Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park is 50 km away. The nearest airport is Juan Santamaría International Airport, 98 km from La Finca Lodge. La FInca Lodge is a perfect place to calm down and relax on the countryside. The rooms are huge and have a big bathroom and a nice hammock to forget about your everyday life. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and had many recommendations for activities in the area. Breakfast was delicious and served on a nice outdoor terrace. The property of the finca itself is huge, there is a lot to explore. A highlight outside the finca were the blue falls, which were recommended to us by one of the staff members.

With La Fortuna Waterfall reachable in 32 km, La Tigra Rainforest Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. This was probably my favorite part of Costa Rica Trip! It was so surreal to spend some time disconnected and surrounded by such beautiful nature. Loved all the trails, but sandaderos in bosque la tigra was my favorite. It’s a primary and secondary rainforest property they have nearby and you can visit it for a small fee. I saw there more wildlife by myself than in any other forests walking with a guide. I did a night tour and we walked around the property, not even rainforest further out, and saw 3 snakes within the first 5minutes, so many frogs and other insects, and the guide was very knowledgable. I also planted a tree there and it was a really beautiful experience of giving back to the nature and community. Overall service is 10/10, always with a smile, always asking a question or two. No connection at all anywhere except the reception, but wifi there is stronger than in most coworkings I have visited here in Costa Rica. The only thing that was challenging for me personally and I have not seen it mentioned in the comments is if you sometimes get car sick, a road to the property will make you car sick, so please have some medicine handy. But it’s the entire area around that is like this, so just accepting it as part of adventure. I recommend staying for 2-3 nights and spending it in the lodge area enjoying the nature, the best disconnection and reconnection with the self “retreat” 🤭

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal Conservation Area, only 2.7 km from the Arenal Volcano. The views were fantastic, Arenal volcano is intimidating ( as it is very close to the resort) but mesmerising. The bird life is abundant and the Coatis walk around ignoring people just doing their own things (which is as it should be) The breakfast was fantastic. The road to the resort is a dirt road and could be rough. there are no lights at night ,hence be careful when venturing out at night. However if you have a good car and consider the road conditions it can be easily done with an SUV or a constant 4WD. I will recommend a big car but not necessarily 4x4. As the resort is very isolated the only place to have dinner is the restaurant which was expensive. However with a good car you can venture into the small local towns an have a multitude of choices.( alway ask the staff about eating choices you will get good information from them ).Hence that is one of the reasons I will recommend an SUV. As the resort is so vast you could stay there without going anywhere else and honestly say you know Cost Rica. The waterfall within the property was breathtaking, you get to it via a beautiful walk via the forest. There are 2 suspending bridges, lots of well marked walks and the births are. amazing.

Set in Fortuna, 31 km from La Fortuna Waterfall and 34 km from Kalambu Hot Springs, Cecropia Ecolodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and mountain views.

Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park is 49 km from the lodge. Fortuna Airport is 26 km away. Nohelia, Jay, and their team have truly created a corner of paradise. They are exceptional hosts who make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. It's clear how much effort, love, and passion they pour into everything they do. They take the time to genuinely connect with their guests and go above and beyond to cater to individual needs. The meals are a highlight—delicious, healthy, and hearty, made with fresh ingredients sourced directly from their garden. Every bite feels homemade and thoughtfully prepared. The lodge itself is a stunning blend of a forest and a botanical garden, teeming with wildlife, especially birds. It's a nature lover's dream. I highly recommend the night tour with Jay—it’s an unforgettable experience. Nohelia is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and Costa Rica as a whole, always ready to offer helpful tips and advice. One thing to note: the lodge is accessible only with a 4WD vehicle, as the last 3 kilometers of the road are quite rough. However, the journey is absolutely worth it. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Ecolodge Cecropia. If I could, I’d rate it 200%. Nohelia and Jay are truly wonderful hosts, and they’ve created a magical place that’s not to be missed.

The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and an oven, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A patio with garden views is offered in every unit. The house offered a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano and lush green surroundings. The spacious yard was perfect for morning workouts. The bathroom was very well-equipped and roomy. We also made good use of the laundry facilities, which allowed us to take care of our laundry during our stay.
