Located right next to the Amazon Shelter for Animal and Environmental Protection, which you can visit for a small donation and receive a guided tour. Very friendly and family-like atmosphere. The owners and the staff was very helpful and very professional. The location was perfect not very far away from Puerto Maldonado. Breakfast and all the meals it was pretty good 😊. High recommend the property. Also I will like to thank Manuel our guide was excellent and very professional too.

Maribell's flower bath was a highlight, offering a luxurious and rejuvenating experience that left us feeling pampered and relaxed. And let's not forget the food – it was simply divine. A real gem in the middle of the rainforest. Stunning nature all around, friendly and welcoming owner, comfortable cottages. We visited Peru when there were riots and roadblocks everywhere, but we felt very safe and protected in La Habana Amazon Reserve. The two dogs on the premises deserve extra praise: they are perfectly behaved and one of them always accompanied us when we went to the rainforest or the river - very safe. We definitely recommend having dinner there as well - the best food we ate during our three-week trip to Peru (Lomo saltado, Milanese chicken, etc.).
