I thought a midnight stroll through Central Park would be peaceful… maybe even magical. I was so wrong. The park was dark, empty, and straight-up creepy. I tried to convince myself it was fine — until I saw a rat. Not just any rat. This thing was the size of a cat, casually scurrying like it owned the place. I froze. Then I saw another. And another. At that point, I sat down on a bench to gather my courage… but every sound made me jump. It felt like I was in a horror movie. I was convinced I’d either get mugged or dragged off by a mutant rat army. I booked it out of there so fast, I didn’t even look back. Central Park might be lovely during the day, but at midnight? It's a no from me.

Loved our horse and carriage ride through Central Park. This was a fabulous way to see a lot of the areas in as short a time as possible. Some beautiful fountains and architecture throughout this park and we loved our time there.

Nice. Be prepared to stay the day to experience it all.

Nice. Be prepared to stay the day to experience it all. We started our day with a horse carriage ride throught the park to get our bearings. Ate Lunch at Tavern on the Green--must call and make reservations! You can also go to their website to purchace gift card! Rode the old carasol, went to the Central Park Zoo, Strawberry fields, the Home Alone Tunnel, ventured over to see the Plaza Hotel and the famous toy store, walked to the Natural History Museum. You can also walk to the Mtropolitan Museum of Art! Would have loved to have more time to rent a bike--would have been fun. It's huge and would take a day to truely enjoy--lots of walking.

Central Park is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York city. Located smack in the middle of the city you can explore and enjoy so many outdoor activities like the Zoo, ice skating, Belvedere Castle, Playgrounds for children, running, reading and even people watching is a thing.

Book the horse and cart ride with the group that have a team waiting on a line to the left as you base the park, they will take 5 people and it’s cheaper. They people that bombard you say 4 max so if there are 5 you have to get w carts… this is not the case. Was nice to be shown a route round, be informed of the local landmark and then walk round a different route to see them again on our ouwn time. It’s worth going to the visitor centre for a map.

Check-in staff was very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere in the common areas was pleasant. The gym was a big plus. Mainly it was the location that I loved about this hotel: a few short blocks from a major subway station, close to both Riverside Park and Central Park, and within one of Manhattan's most prized residential neighborhoods.

The hotel is in Chinatown and really close to most of the tourist attractions. It’s 30 minute walk to 9/11 memorial and the one world trade center, 20 minutes of train to empire states, 5th avenue, central park and all. Also it was clean.

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment in New York. The location couldn’t be better just a few minutes’ walk to Central Park and the metro station, plus several bus lines nearby that take you directly to Fifth Avenue and downtown Manhattan, making it very convenient to get around. The apartment itself was very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with two spacious bedrooms. The owner was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay, which made everything even better. When I return to New York,I will definitely book this apartment again!

Rooms unbeatable. Having a kitchen, and a well stocked one, in a NYC hotel room is an absolute game-changer. The maid service staff are incredibly efficient and friendly. Front desk and lobby staff are lovely. Unobstructed views from the Hotel Beacon are a huge plus. And the Hotel Beacon's location is sweet! Easy to subway, Central Park, the attractions, and truly outstanding restaurants. Love the Upper West Side and love this hotel.

The apartment was charming and the location was terrific! We love the Upper West Side. We were very close to Columbia University, it was very easy to go to Central Park, and it was 3 minutes away from the metro line. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is well located and a short walk from the subway system or a bus service even closer. It is a 10-15 min walk from Central Park. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were well designed and the bed was comfortable with housekeeping every other day or on request, and they were very good, too.

Great location on Times Square but a few blocks up from the main noise. Also only a few blocks walk to Central Park. The workout room was top notch for a hotel. Well maintained equipment, locker rooms, everything. I thought the staff at the onsite coffee shop were super friendly. Times Square hotels are always expensive. The Sheraton was competitive with the other mid- level hotels in the area.

Very well located for Central Park, Times Square, and Broadway shows. We also stayed a few nights at Edison Hotel and The Belvedere had bigger rooms and a bigger bathroom with more natural light. The Belvedere also had a mini fridge and small microwave. Breakfast was coffee, hot chocolate or tea with a granola bar. Whereas, Edison had a grab and go egg sandwich, fruit or yogurt, crossaint, and coffee option.
