GermanyGreat location on a hill with amazing views. The lodge is still close to restaurants, bars, and shops. You can tell that the owner paid attention to every little detail, providing books, a yoga mat, music box, plates and cutlery, etc. Another big plus is that they organize your pick-up and drop-off at the pier, which makes traveling here super easy. We had an amazing time here, extended our stay for two more days and still were not ready to leave this place after a week. We really hope to come back one day!

Shark Bay
While it may be tricky to get to—the dirt road is windy and steep—it’s definitely worth the effort to make the trek to Shark Bay. As the name suggests, it’s one of the best places in Koh Tao to see blacktip and whitetip sharks, plus a ton of other creatures. Just watch out for sea urchins on the seabed since it's pretty shallow for ever further out in the water.

Loved this beach, fine and white.
Loved this beach, fine and white. It does get busy and a bit noisy with boats towards end of the day coming in for the clear warm waters to snorkel. It was worth it though. I stayed at the Rocky Resort with a beautiful view from my balcony, where I spent hours drinking in the view and all the tropical sounds. The view is excellent, just above the shark bay, going down to the beach takes around 5 minutes (going back up takes a bit longer).
