Crazy amazing! Try to go earlier in the day to avoid crowds and afternoon thunderstorms. Book entrance tickets in advance online. It's a bit cumbersome, but saves on at site delays with security passport checks. If it's your first time, hire a local guide. It's beautiful but they herd you through like cattle and scream at you when you take your mask off for a quick photo. We found it very stressful and had to hide from guards in order to try to appreciate the place. It's about how many people they can push through. As has been said, Machu Picchu embodies the mystery of the Inkan empire's incredible architectural and construction feat.
