The Cottages were spotless with everything one would need for a short or long term stay. Bed was very comfortable and it was lovely having breakfast on the sunny balcony.

New ZealandOur family had a wonderful stay here. The house was clean, had everything you could ever need for your stay and on top of that, the owners were amazing people. They welcomed us on our first day and were always available to help if needed.
Location is prime, very very short walk to Hahei Beach.
Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Thank you 😊

This is one of those drop-everything most beautiful places...
This is one of those drop-everything most beautiful places on earth. up there with Venice and Lake Como. We drove from Auckland and our room not quite ready, so we set off, caught the shuttle bus/minivan thingy, and walked to the Cove and back. There are no facilities to change into togs, but we brought a large towel that did the job of a 'changing tent'. We also had drinks and snacks in the backpack.
We saw a few people trying to dart through the gap and dodge the waves, but the tide was coming in (!) and one man bumped his head on the rock! So... either get wet, or bump your head?
The next morning, we joined a small group of 4 kayaks (booked this months ago) and paddled from Hahai Beach to Cathedral Cove. It was superb to see it from both angles; first walk, then sea.

We took the Cave Cruzer fun ride at Whitianga and visited Cathedral Cove. The ride was so fun and thanks Brian for showing and explaining to us all caves and blow hole visits around the coastal of Whitianga to Hahei.

WE went there to enjoy the beauty of the area, Unfortunately the weather was horrendous and it was impossible to get anywhere near there, there are very few facilities in the area and the few shops were just not open

A gorgeous little house. Pristine clean and very comfortable. Great location close to Cathedral Cove walk, shops and many local beaches. No need to drive far. Gavin was a great host.

Awesome property in a great location. Perfect little studio out the back of the house. Loved using the bbq and outside table as no one else was staying there. Great location close to cafes and shops. Short walk to the beach, and 40min walk to Cathedral Cove. Recommend going for sunrise!

A lovely house with wonderful views and facilities including a heated spa.
Very convenient for visiting Cathedral Cove as the walk starts a couple of hundred meters away.
The inclusion of shovels for Hot Water Beach is appreciated.

Nice location close to the beach and the start of the cathedral cove walk. The hot water beach is 10 min drive away.
Standard hostel, neither dirty nor clean.
Correct equipment in the shared kitchen.
A shared big screen TV where we could log in our Netflix account.
As the hostel was not full in winter, we probably had higher comfort than in high season.

Absolutely loved my stay at The Church Accommodation. Peaceful, charming cottages surrounded by gardens, super friendly hosts, and a great on-site bistro. A perfect base for exploring Hahei and Cathedral Cove. Would definitely stay again!

The hosts, Ray and Ngairene, were wonderful. A charming and very helpful couple. Ngairene met me on arrival and gave me a tour of the apartment. On two occasions, my hosts gave me a ride to the Cathedral Cove trailhead. There is no parking at the trailhead; drop-off only, and this saved me a long, steep hike before tackling the trail. I was allowed to use their laundry facilities, which was much appreciated. Anyone visiting the Hahei area could do no better than to stay at the Cathedral Cove Apartment. Kia Ora!
