The hotel was located right in the middle of Bergen, perfect and central to everything. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, opulent surroundings and nothing like this in New Zealand. It was historical and we loved it. The staff at reception were so helpful and friendly, they even helped take bags up to our room. Which as a very nice room - one of the few with a view over the harbour. We love the half day cruise up the fjord - well worth it.

I was supposed to stay in an Airbnb nearby but the key wasn’t in the key box so I booked this place very last minute at 21:30 at night and they had this room available and it was just perfect . Staff were nice, breakfast was excellent. Simple but good. Room and beds were very comfortable. It was also slightly lower priced than a hotel my aunt was staying in around the corner and where she had a terrible experience as well. Would definitely stay again.

Bryggen

These colourful wooden houses line the harbour and form one of the most iconic districts in Bergen. A physical reminder of the trade conducted here from the 14th to mid-16th century, the bright white, yellow, red and blue wooden buildings are a beautiful contrast to the icy North Sea. Take some photos and then explore the little alleyways, where you’ll find quirky galleries and cute cafés.

Loved walking through this old area of Bergen and seeing these historical buildings. Worth taking the time to do some homework, or a tour, on the history of these buildings. This way you'll appreciate what you're seeing more.

Classic area with fish market and the multi-colored buildings and old town. Very touristy. Would recommend going early in the morning or evening but not eating in this area as the prices are generally inflated.

Many nice shops to find some special items. Make sure to go down the side streets and go in and out of the special shops hidden off the Main Street. Everyone was so helpful and kind to us. It was very rainy the day we were there but still nice.

Fabulous location - 5 minutes from a tram (Bybanen) stop from/to the airport, 3 minutes to the Fish Market and opposite Bryggen (the Hanseatic wharf). The apartment is well equipped for several days' stay. There are also plenty of tourist brochures and maps. We didn't use the roof terrace because of rainy weather but it offers picnic tables, chairs, beach beds and, first of all, a splendid view of the city centre! Nasser is an incredible host, very responsive, eager to help and caring.😍

The apartment was outstanding. The day before arrival, you'll receive instructions on how to get the key. The light rail terminal is approximately a 10-minute walk from the apartment, although dragging luggage over the cobblestone road can be a bit challenging. The apartment is fully equipped, exceptionally spacious, and in excellent condition. The host is welcoming and responsiveness. The Floibanen cable car station is located right next to the apartment, and it only takes a few minutes to get to the Bryggen and fish market.

It's in a great location for central Bergen There are a lot of restaurants and bars within walking distance the apartment I rented was clean and spacious for a solo traveler, the harbour and bryggen is just a short 15 minute walk less if you are a fast walker pretty peaceful from Monday to Friday then you will hear a lot of city noise but that's to be expected for the weekend but with the window close it becomes minimal noise.

The hotel is in an incredible location on the harbour in the beautiful historic district of Bryggen, with lots to see within walking distance. The lounge and dining areas of the hotel are very comfortable. Our room was great with plenty of space. The included breakfast and light dinner was a bonus. We enjoyed going to the top of building’s tower and enjoying the view.

The perfect location to explore Bergen. Literally around the corner to the fascinating historic buildings of Bryggen. A modern hotel with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely big bathroom, and the room had all the amenities you often don't find in Norway - fridge, kettle, iron, etc.

Free waffles in the late afternoon was a definite bonus! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The historic Bryggen sector, remnant of an active Hansa-league international trade dating from the 1300s, gives you the feel of what the city was like in the 1700s. Nothing else like it.
