Good cooking facilities, free coffee and tea was appreciated. Private hot springs on site, very warm water. A lot of travelers, so good social opportunity for solo traveler but sometimes felt a little crowded.

    Definitely visit the public onsen here, it is modern and...

    Definitely visit the public onsen here, it is modern and clean. However, I think it would b e better to stay in one of the Ryokan here as they have even nicer Onsen with access to the outside. The private onsen at the Yunomine public onsen does not have access to the outside, I dont know about the others. A wander around the little streets of Yunomine is charming, as is the short hike on the Kumano Kodo iup to a small hill top shrine.
