Hotels near Demachiyanagi Station, Kyoto

Location is right in the middle of most of Kyoto's main attractions. The room is quite spacious with large enough table to eat or use as office space. They provide toiletries, pyjamas, and 'customizable' house keeeping. Free newspapers. Free regular shuttle bus to central subway station + lots of food and convenience stores. Reliable access to taxis (never had to wait for one while there).

Recently, the management changed at this hotel and the new management has been extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help us and make sure we had a pleasant stay. Some of the other reviews on the site are from before the recent change in management. The front desk is staffed every day beginning at eleven, through 8 of the evening, which makes things more convenient in case you need to leave a suitcase while you go out to sightsee. During the hours the desk is not open, there is a WhatsApp number the staff can be reached at, and they were quick to respond even before the hours the desk is staffed. I stayed at this hotel with my mom. It is in good condition and clean, and our room was very spacious. This hotel would be especially good for families or possibly friends traveling together because there are two large beds in the rooms, a kitchen area (with a decent sized refrigerator, microwave, range, and hot water pot), a washer, and a table to have meals at. I also think it would be especially suited for longer stays and people with special dietary needs (vegetarians or families with small children), since making a light breakfast or simple pasta meal here would be very easy. Honestly, this feels like a more like a mini apartment than a hotel room to me. The property is two blocks from a supermarket and within walking distance of Teramachi, with its multitude of restaurants and shops. In addition, it is right in front of a bus that goes to Kyoto Station and a subway line. It is also within walking distance to Gion. I think this is one of the best locations to stay for several days in Kyoto since some other tourist areas here are quite out of the way and don't have as many options for food, shopping, or transportation as this location does. Finally, I felt that the price of the hotel was very reasonable given everything it has to offer. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Kyoto.

Clean and modern, the location is perfect too.

This is a high quality hotel. It is a bit more expensive, but you pay for what you get. It was definitely exceptional and we strongly recommend it if you are willing to pay for it. The personnel at the reception was great. They have coffee free of charge. Breakfast was really good: a buffet with both Japanese and continental food. Location is excellent too, a 10 minute walk from Gion or Pontocho, or less, and next to the metro station and bus stops. The room is very nice, not very big, but very comfy bed and very nice and quite spacious bathroom.

Super location, spacious room, new and clean facilities, super friendly staffs, good quality breakfast. So many good restaurants around. Just next to most interesting shopping areas.
