What a spectacular view! The room was comfortable, the fridge and hot water was handy, the curtains let you sleep in if you wanted, and I loved having my morning green tea (all the supplies were there) in the front part of the room in the sun. Also loved being able to run down to the lake for sunrise Fuji pics and then go back to bed. The food was excellent in the restaurant and there were other restaurants nearby. We had a rental car (made a huge difference for being able to move around and see different viewpoints) but other guests were using the bus. Also liked the hike that starts at the hotel up to the ridge for another view of Fuji.

We had a great experience staying at Motosu Phoenix Hotel. The hotel itself is spacious with many rooms, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The buffet restaurant offered a great variety of delicious food, both for dinner and breakfast. The onsen is on the smaller side, but still very enjoyable and relaxing. There’s also a game center and free soft drinks available, which was a nice touch. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and worked well. One of the best things about the hotel is its location,just a 5-minute walk to the beautiful Lake Motosu. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Highly recommended!

Great value for a priceless experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival we were welcomed with warmth and superb hospitality. The room gives you a nostalgic feel from a 90’s traditional Japanese interior. Not to mention, a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji under the lake Shoji welcomes you upon entrance to your room and even on the hotel lobby. If you are looking for a simple, quiet, and organic experience, you will definitely love it here.

We loved everything about this place, the location, their beautiful house, the hosts who were so lovely, caring and friendly. They did everything to make us feel comfortable. Wish we could have stayed here longer. Definitely going back here when I'm in Japan next!
