Lovely old hotel with dedicated staff who happily assist. Rooms are a good size and we had lovely views from both of our windows. The restaurant served very good food and drinks and the staff were attentive, friendly and informative. Breakfast was excellent and had a good variety. The surrounding area has many interesting attractions, the biggest being Heroes Square an easy walking distance.

    Except that,few of heroes are Romanian's as origin who became governors first Iancu de Hunedoara and his son as king Matei Corvin, is a real history about ten tribes coming from Urals mountains and settled in almost actual land.

    History, pageantry and pride is evident all around this area. Take some time to follow the tales of how and why this place came to be and you get a better sense of the people. The nearby castle and restaurant are stunning to say the least.

    The location is great, close to the M1 metro on Andrassy Street, which takes you directly to Vörösmarty Square, with the Opera stop in between. You can also walk to the Széchenyi thermal baths, Vajdahunyad Castle, Heroes’ Square, and a good Hungarian restaurant called Paprika. The breakfast was tasty with enough variety.
