What a good find. This boutique guesthouse at hegu haven checks most boxes: spotlessly clean rooms with comfy bedding, a serene garden for morning tea, and a restaurant with delicious local dishes. A small suggestion: adding more Western options would suit international guests better. The healing activities (listed in English!) like meditation were pleasant. Location-wise, it’s convenient—easy taxis, parking, close to temples and pandas. The only tiny wish? The pool could be a bit larger, but it didn’t take away from our nice stay. We’d likely return.​

One of the best hotels we've been in China, if not the best. The owner was always extremely helpful (he even took us by car to QingChen entrance). The rooms are very cozy and well decorated, beds are great and the ambiance is really chill. Breakfast is also a plus.

Cheng is literally the best host ever. He picked me up from the train station and also took me to the bus station to get a bus to the back mountain. The place itself is great, was very peaceful and I slept super well. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to spend a few days in the countryside.
