When the main part of the square is either closed or not in use (which seems to be often) it's very much a matter of taste. It looks like something Stalin would have rejected as too ugly. I can't begin to imagine what the fuss is about. It's a shame that a great city like Melbourne would try to make this a focal point.

Located above the rail tracks, two plug-ugly cuboidal office blocks belonging to the transit authority formerly stood on this site. These have now been replaced with commercialised rubbish, and it is no improvement. Really NOT an attractive community space..

Excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the station. You can find everything you need in close proximity. I actually walk to Federation Square and NGV! I didn't expect it's in the prime location with the small price I paid for the room. Most importantly, the room is clean. I had an enjoyable stay.
