The area allows us to have sea breeze in the evening time so that the heat during the day may be relieved. The BBQ, the picnic and other local facilities are good and helpful. The Cairns esplanade is across the road, it's close to all the best food, and is just near the night markets and great coffee just downstairs in the morning. We had a great view of the esplanade and the ocean. Our room was really spaceous and I think we had a disability bathroom, because it was huge. And Cairns colonial ticked all the boxes. There are enough pools to keep the kids active. Cairns esplanade is only about 10 mins away and all the tours pick you up from the resort.
