The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

We came to celebrate our anniversary, hotel upgraded our room for free surprisingly and prepared desserts during our dining experience and put a chocolate cake in the room. The service is excellent, we tried a few restaurants, food is all very delicious and price is reasonable. We love the beach, soft sand, clean sea water and plenty of free activities. And I love the pool, it is amazing, we had a lot of fun. Aircon is adjustable which is quite nice. And the airport transfer service is great. Highly recommend to stay here!

Staff was incredibly nice and they also have motorbikes on site for rent! 150 baht/day for the motor bikes (~$4.50USD/day). Great location, within 5-10 minute motorbike ride to “main drag” of town or the beach!

To start, it absolutely lives up to the name-the hotel has the best view on the island. Under new management as of December ‘24, looking at previous reviews, it seems there have already been a lot of positive improvements-new landscaping, upgraded pool furniture, fencing, etc. and it seems there is even more to come, upgrading an already terrific spot. Every bungalow has a view, as well as the pool. There are covered tables to have a drink and a great cafe right next store as well as several dinner options within a 5-10 min walk, and small market. There are motos and bicycles for rent, and the staff are happy to help accommodate/book a taxi. The rooms are lovely, with a very large bathroom and shower area! Jerome and his team are great-very accommodating and helpful! Highly recommend Betterview if you are thinking about a trip to Koh Yao Yai!

All the facilities were clean, comfortable and fun.

We enjoyed every moment we spent there. The rooms are beautiful, huge and very clean, and the whole atmosphere is pleasant and quiet.

Each Deluxe Beach Suite consists of a bedroom, an en suite bathroom and a spacious living area with a sofa, a table and a set of chairs. The air-conditioned room comes with a private balcony, a seating area and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen area is equipped with cutlery, an electric kettle, microwave oven and a refrigerator. We loved that place!! The island is so peaceful, the people are amazingly friendly, it feels not touristicly destroyed but still comfortable enough for the western traveler. The hotel is so well kept. They thought about everything you need. And the best part is the staff with the head of Nancy, who is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much. We felt so welcomed.
