Both Tanya and Jodi were so generous with their time, and lent me a bodyboard and flippers for a swim too. Recommending this to all our friends!

The house standing at the base of Mount Tatanaki was stunning. Chris and Steak were the most welcoming and lovely couple and our room was beautiful. We hope to return some day. It's a wildlife haven and we were lucky to see a hare and a hedgehog on the lawn. Breakfast was delicious.

Auto Lodge New Plymouth offers a restaurant, bar, heated pool and hot tub, just 5 minutes’ walk from Fitzroy Beach. Very good price for a nice room with seaview. Very close to the major beach in Plymouth.

The 4-star Plymouth International offers contemporary studios, deluxe king studios and dual living Plymouth Suites complete with double spa bath. Everything was brilliant, I am ashamed to admit that I completely forgot the names of the two wonderful ladies at the front desk. I’d accidentally booked the wrong day, but they were able to make it work. It was my mother’s first time in the country too and they’ve been raving about the night we spent there. Spent a night a few years prior with my then girlfriend, and came back as a result. This trip was even better and will definitely stay again the next time we’re up that way
