It is highly eco-sustainable, avoiding plastic wherever possible, the majority of staff are hired from the local community and they try to purchase as much food and services also from the local community. This investment helps reduce locals reliance on income sources that may be more harmful to the environment and wildlife. Is it expensive? When compared to other Nepalese accommodation and services, yes. Is it worth it though? Absolutely!

The restaurant staff are all fabulous and it would be unfair to mention any individual but can’t name them all, so a 5/5 for every single one of them. My wife used the spa for 2 treatments and she thought it was excellent with very lovely professional staff. We did two safari tours one by elephant and one by jeep., both were excellent and a special mention here for our guide Suki who was extremely knowledgeable and we were lucky to have him for both of excursions booked with the hotel. I recommend staying at the Soaltee West End to anyone who wants top level service and care from arrival to departure.
