Where do I begin to describe paradise? I am so glad I booked into Leopard Reach as my base for the Yala National Park because I had a truly unforgettable taste of luxury in the jungle. I loved it so much, I stayed two nights. This is a truly special place, with only a few tent-lodges. In fact, I was the only guest on the property, and was treated like a queen. The interior of my room was top quality, with all amenities. And the private mini pool on the terrace was extremely welcome. On both nights I had an exceptional dinner; the first night consisted of a Sri Lankan curry with so many lovely dishes, and the second was an al fresco BBQ, prepared just for me. Breakfast was served on my private terrace. I cannot speak highly enough of Fonseka, the General Manager (the quintessential host) and his trusty team of Randika (what a great guy), Lakruwan (who makes the place run like clockwork) and Kasun (the Chef). Thanks a million.

Los chalets son amplios y cómodos, equipados con todas las comodidades necesarias para una estancia relajante. Se accede a ellos a través de un bonito camino jardinado y, en la parte posterior, disponen de una zona privada con una pequeña terraza perfecta para descansar. El complejo cuenta además con una piscina estupenda, ideal para refrescarse y disfrutar del entorno. El baño es muy espacioso y la habitación, en general, también es muy grande. Como único detalle personal, habríamos preferido una cama doble en lugar de dos individuales aunque estén pegadas, aunque no afectó a nuestra comodidad. La comida estaba deliciosa, elaborada con esmero, y el personal fue siempre muy atento y predispuesto. Queremos destacar especialmente a Damith Silva, que fue encantador y nos organizó el traslado a nuestro próximo destino, además de ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitamos. Ellos mismos gestionaron también nuestro safari, y desde los jardines delanteros pudimos ver un par de reptiles, ya que el alojamiento está rodeado de plena naturaleza.

This is a wonderful place to stay; fantastic if you are on a budget and understand the facilities are basic. There is electricity, warm water and a comfortable bed...in a fabulous location with fabulous hosts. You will see an array of wildlife (porcupine, bats, crocs, elephants and exotic birds). Danoushka and Anousha were warm, welcoming and kind. We loved our stay here and felt part of nature. Anousha cooks delicious Sri Lankan food and Danoushka is knowledgeable about the local area; We went on a tuk tuk drive with him to see various temples and sites of historic importance - a highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka. My husband also did an early morning bird spotting safari on the back of a motor bike which enabled him to take some close shots of the abundant bird life. Jungle cabin gave us the experience of "real" Sri Lanka and, as a middle aged couple, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with the hosts and enjoy their home. We would not hesitate to recommend this as a rustic place to stay...make the most of Danoushka's local and wildlife knowledge and...enjoy the tranquility.

Everything was perfect! The staff was amazing, including Greya the in-house parrot. A hidden-gem, an jungle oasis of nature with a pool in the beachfront. Food was delicious, room super clean, spacious and well decorated. Loved it!

In short, the place was great 👍. The location was great (in a nice quiet area but still close to the city), the room was clean, the beds were comfy and the staff was very attentive. We had an issue with one of the door locks and they promptly offered us another room. Breakfast was great as well. Really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely come back.
