Thomas and his family were extremely welcoming and kind, Thomas even took us on a short car tour of the area in the afternoon and his wife Theresa cooked me vegetarian lunch and dinner and let me prepare my own breakfast in their kitchen. The location was super peaceful and beautiful overlooking rice fields. I didn't know that it would be a 15min drive from the airport as the location on booking.com was 0km from the airport but that turned out to be an advantage because it was more quiet and in the middle of nature. The free drop-off to the airport in the middle of the night worked really well, they were even ready before the agreed time, called to see if I was awake and drove me smoothly to the domestic terminal.

The family who owns this really sweet little place are kind, compassionate at what they are closing and go above and beyond to make everyone really nice. We were delayed I leaving by out taxi and Ashley made us delicious lemon, mint and ginger drinks. So refreshing and kind! The room was very comfortable, but we did hear prayers over a loud speaker at about 6:00 am. We were awake as we had come in on an all night flight. Other than that it was truly a wonderful stay. I especially loved her breakfast dosas and chai tea. We also loved that it was so close to the airport (TRV) and not far from shopping. We will most likely stay here again when we pass through. À hora do lanche são servidas bebidas e degustações de cortesia e à noite, as mesas são preparadas para o jantar, conferindo ao pequeno pátio um entorno quase mágico. O pequeno-almoço é bastante variado, com opções locais e ocidentais (oferta que nem todas as unidades hoteleiras na Índia garantem, mesmo algumas das nem tão baratas) e os pedidos especiais são atendidos por uma cozinha rápida e eficiente. Todo o staff do Forte Kochi é, aliás, de uma simpatia e eficácia a toda a prova. O Hotel é muito central, possibilitando conhecer a pé as atracções próximas (atenção aos condutores de tuc-tuc, que indicam caminhos errados na esperança de cansar os turistas em ruelas por vezes labirínticas, para oferecerem depois os seus serviços...): museus, redes de pesca, marginal, palácio alemão e Sé, além claro da icónica Igreja de São Francisco, onde foi enterrado Vasco da Gama e o mais antigo lugar de culto construído por europeus em toda a Índia. Kochi vale muito a pena, sobretudo para quem pretenda seguir os passos do património de origem portuguesa; e o Forte Kochi é um porto de abrigo inigualável para essa ou outras jornadas.

Localizado em Cochim, o Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty é um resort à beira-mar com 2 piscinas, um campo de ténis e um centro de fitness. I stayed in a suite with a balcony & a connected room, the space was great, the view was spectacular and everything was excellent.

It's hard to know where to start as everything about Cranganor is perfect! The setting on the banks of the Periyar river is absolutely beautiful. Our first floor room had a large balcony with comfortable chairs that overlooked the grounds and the river and we loved watching the birdlife in the trees. Everything is well organised by the friendly and helpful staff. The food is delicious and served with great care. The infinity pool is beautiful. We were initially booked for one night and then, to our joy, our flight home was delayed by 24 hours and we were able to stay for a second night. The shop sells lovely cotton clothes which are made on the premises. I had a dress made in just a few hours before we left. Thank you to all at Cranganor for a really lovely stay!
