Stunning house, beautifully decorated, in a stunning location between the mountains and the sea. We really appreciated that it was walled and gated as we have small kids. Young families will also appreciate black out blinds on the windows and three large TVs throughout the house. The hot tub was a massive bonus and we really enjoyed that. Our host, Rachel, was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The property is non-smoking and is set 43 km from Proleek Dolmen. The apartment has been beautifully furnished & decorated, with a designer's eye for detail. Everything looks shiny & new. The property is secluded, it must be a couple of hundred metres from the public road. The living-room & the beds are quite comfortable. The spacious bathroom has centrally heated water, plus an electric shower; hot water is always available for a shower. The outdoor hot-tub has views of a mountain & of green fields. Young cows were grazing & resting peacefully just beyond the wall, when we visited.

Carrick Cottage - Mourne Mountains offers a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 35 km of Down Cathedral and 37 km of The Cathedral of Saint Patrick and Saint Colman. The property has mountain and garden views. Outdoor seating is also available at the holiday home. Absolutely ideal location, right at the foot of Slieve Binnian/Mourne Wall. The cottage is cosy, with modern facilities, and a log fire. Lovely view over the sea. I was hiking the Mourne Wall, so this could not have been a better place to stay. It's really charming, and plenty of parking.

Kitchenware is also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the guest house, every unit has bed linen and towels. I booked the room last minute, and our experience couldn’t have been better. Darren was very attentive through messages, we received all recommendations and directions to get there. The room was fabulous, exactly as the images and more. The place was recently renovated and is warm and comfortable. I highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back soon, as they are also pet friendly and we could bring our dog with us. :) Thank you Darren and the team for helping our last minute escape to be even special 🐶☺️

The decor was done to a fine art and everything about the cottage is cosy and comfortable. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, there is no better place. Andy, the host was very helpful and was always only a call or text away when needed. We hope to return some time again in the future.
